While critics called her writing unimaginative and lacking literary merit, this did not stop her adoring fans from scooping her books off the shelf. In all, she wrote over 750 books which sold over 600 million copies. By the 1950's she was publishing upwards of 50 books per year. In the 1940's she began to churn out books sometimes three or four per year. Her first series of books, "Old Thatch", began in 1934 and eventually encompassed 28 books. Her first book, a collection of poems, was published in 1922. She trained as a teacher and in her spare time continued to write. Her first attempts at writing were rejected by publishers which just made her more determined to succeed. Born in London, she began writing while still in school. Įnid Blyton (1897-1968) was a prolific English author of children's books. The Find-Outers have other ideas and set about trying to solve this mystery as quickly as possible. Goon returns to Peterswood and takes over the case from Pippin, and he is convinced that the Pantomime Cat is guilty of the crime. The Find-Outers are soon on the case, interviewing suspects and looking for clues, but sadly for them, P.C. Pippin right at the forefront of a real mystery, when he finds the manager of the Little Theatre unconscious and slumped over his desk, and the safe open and empty. The Find-Outers decide to have a little fun with this new P.C.
